WrestleMania and the Superstar Shake-up have come and gone and we forge our way into Spring. Brock Lesnar is once again eligible for these rankings since he showed up and defended his Universal Championship. Let’s see where he ranks against your favorite superstars!
- Brock Lesnar (Last Month – Not Ranked)
Uh yeah, I’m doing it. Brock successfully defended his Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania and that will earn you the top spot. We all expected Roman Reigns to win the Universal Title for the first time and send Brock on his merry way back to UFC. Instead, Lesnar retains and signed a new contract with WWE. He may still fight in UFC, but he will also remain a member of the RAW roster.
- AJ Styles (Last Month – 2)
The WWE champion also defended his title at WrestleMania against long-time rival, Shinsuke Nakamura. The match was crap, but we now have a storyline for a feud that lacked one completely.
- Ronda Rousey (Last Month – Not Ranked)
Ronda Rousey had the best showing of any superstar at WrestleMania, in what was by far the best match of the night. Rousey looked great and it all came together for the former UFC fighter. Her ring gear and promos need work, but Rousey is a mega star who is just going to get better and better.
- Braun Strowman (Last Month – 3)
Braun Strowman along with his tag team partner Nicholas defeated The Bar at WrestleMania to win the RAW tag team championships. The duo gave up the titles the very next night on RAW. Not sure what is next for Braun, but I’m sure he will crush it.
- Roman Reigns (Last Month – 1)
The big dog lost at WrestleMania in the main event to Brock Lesnar, but Reigns will get another chance to win the Universal Championship in a Steel Cage match at The Greatest Royal Rumble. Waiting for Reigns whether he wins the championship or not is Samoa Joe at Backlash. Regardless of his woes, Reigns remains a big-time player in WWE.
- Daniel Bryan (Last Month – Not Ranked)
The leader of the YES! Movement returned to the ring at WrestleMania and alongside Shane McMahon picked up the win over Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Bryan is now one of the main players for the blue brand and the feud possibilities are endless.
- Nia Jax (Last Month – 7)
She is not like most girls and now Nia Jax is the new RAW Women’s champion. Nia defeated her former best friend Alexa Bliss at WrestleMania and now stands at the top of the RAW women’s division.
- Seth Rollins (Last Month – 12)
The architect won the Intercontinental championship at WrestleMania and became a grand slam champion. In a surprising move, Rollins remains and RAW and his next defense will be a ladder match at the Greatest Royal Rumble Event.
- Carmella (Last Month – Not Ranked)
It was a long time coming, but Carmella is finally the NEW SmackDown Live Women’s Champion. Mella has always been money, but now she is the champ and I look forward to her reign over the blue brand.
- Rusev Day (Last Month – 13)
The duo of Rusev and Aiden English continue to garner the most shine in WWE despite being unable to get the job done at WrestleMania. Aiden was the first man thrown out of the battle royal and Rusev ate the pin in the United States championship match. Rusev has been teasing leaving WWE and it has everyone hot and bothered. The casket match with The Undertaker is back on (check out Billy’s article) for the Greatest Royal Rumble and that should be interesting to say the least.
- The Miz (Last Month – 4)
The Miz lost his Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania in a triple threat match. He found out on the Superstar Shake-up edition of RAW he was traded to SmackDown Live where he will be reunited with Daniel Bryan. You know I am pumped for that feud to continue.
- Samoa Joe (Last Month – Not Ranked)
Samoa Joe made his return to RAW the night after WrestleMania and challenged Roman Reigns to a match at Backlash. In a surprising move, Samoa Joe was traded to SmackDown Live, but this opens up a lot of potential opponents for the destroyer.
- Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (Last Month – 14)
With their loss at WrestleMania, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were fired from SmackDown Live. The duo tried to sign with RAW the next night, but their match for a contract ended in a dead heat. However, on the Superstar Shake-up edition of RAW the duo were guests on Miz TV and informed Kurt Angle that Stephanie McMahon had signed them to the red brand. I am glad these two remain together and they should have plenty of options on RAW.
- Finn Balor (Last Month – 11)
The heavyweight Finn Balor had a strong showing at WrestleMania, but was unable to get the job done. Balor, like Rollins, remains on RAW, which surprised me even more. He lost the Balor Club so it appears Finn will be alone, for now.
- Bludgeon Brothers (Last Month – 19)
Luke Harper and Erick Rowan won their first SmackDown Live tag team championships at WrestleMania after bludgeoning both The Usos and The New Day. I still do not love their apparel, but there is major heel potential in this team.
- Charlotte (Last Month – 13)
The queen not only defended her SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania, but she ended Asuka’s undefeated streak. Charlotte’s glory was short lived as Carmella cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on SmackDown after The IIconics beat down Charlotte. Regardless, Charlotte is one of the top superstars in the company.
- Shinsuke Nakamura (Last Month – 8)
At WrestleMania, Shinsuke Nakamura came up short in the so called “dream match” against AJ Styles. The match sucked, but afterwards Nakamura gave Styles a low blow. A heel run vastly improves Nakamura as a character and I am excited to see how they handle it.
- Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt (Last Month – Not Ranked)
After being deleted a few weeks ago, Bray Wyatt returned at WrestleMania and helped Matt Hardy win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The duo now has an opportunity to win the RAW tag team championships when they face The Bar.
- Jeff Hardy (Last Month – Not Ranked)
Hardy made his return to Monday Night RAW the night after WrestleMania and the very next week on the Superstar Shake-up edition of RAW won the United States title from Jinder Mahal. The next night Hardy was moved to SmackDown Live and defeated Shelton Benjamin in a singles match.
- The Usos (Last Month – 9)
Despite losing at WrestleMania The Usos remain one of the best acts in WWE. No way I am dropping them from this list no matter how competitive it gets at this point.
Fell from Rankings: Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Elias, The Bar, Randy Orton, Sasha Banks
