JC’s Weekly Top 20 Power Rankings! (1/11/16)

The Royal Rumble is approaching as RAW and SmackDown continue their roads to WrestleMania. Some big returns this week with more set to continue in the coming weeks are changing the landscape on both shows. SmackDown once again was by far the superior show and I even give some love to 205 Live this week.

The first week of the New Year continued the SmackDown dominance over RAW as the A-show in WWE. The fast-paced nature and you never know what will happen appeal makes it more enjoyable as a viewer. RAW did have two incredibly strong segments, but the rest of the show mostly fell flat. Let’s get into…

JC’s Weekly Top 20 Power Rankings! (12/28/16)

2016 is coming to a close. RAW finished with more of the same, while SmackDown had some shocking new champions and an incredible show to close the year. There are certainly a lot of young and exciting superstars who have found their way in 2016 and who appear poised to continue their ascent in 2017.

WWE Roadblock: End of the Line was predictable and a lackluster effort overall. One surprising return and some new champions did add some intrigue as we turned to RAW, which had some very strong segments, but SmackDown once again put out some phenomenal television although I am getting concerned about the constant title matches every week….

JC’s Weekly Top 20 Power Rankings! (12/14/16)

Another strong week of WWE programming as both RAW and SmackDown were solid shows. Lots of new number one contenders, and some big title matches, as we prepare for yet another PPV on Sunday. This time it is RAW’s turn to take the Sunday spotlight at Roadblock: End of the Line.

TLC was a great way to start the week with two new champions crowned and a surprising turn in the main event! Quick note: The Wyatt Family will be ranked as one entity for the time being (this includes Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton, and Luke Harper). I’ll be honest, I have enjoyed the past two…

A quick note before we get started: since Goldberg did not appear on WWE TV this week, and likely won’t for a while, he will be left off these rankings for the time being. This was a fun week of wrestling with two solid matches to end RAW, another strong SmackDown, and the first ever…

JC’s Weekly Top 20 Power Rankings! (11/23/16)

Survivor Series has come and gone and the Royal Rumble is now on the distant horizon. One man stands far above the rest after Survivor Series, but the rest of the rankings favored the blue brand. Lot of fresh faces in the rankings this week, which I think is a good sign…

JC’s Weekly Top 20 Power Rankings! (11/16/16)

I did not have high expectations for this week leading up to Survivor Series, but I did enjoy some things along the way. Goldberg-Lesnar has done enough for me to be interested and the males single Survivor Series elimination match has been the best lead up on both shows in the past two weeks. SmackDown…

JC’s Weekly Top 20 Power Rankings! (11/9/16)

The Survivor Series teams appear to be locked in as we are now less than two weeks away. RAW took a big step backward this week, after having a strong week last week coming off Hell in a Cell, and SmackDown was very meh to me. This was a tough week to rank because it…

JC’s Weekly Top 20 Power Rankings! (11/2/16)

We are about three weeks from Survivor Series and the build for the once big PPV is in full swing. Hell in a Cell wasn’t a great PPV, it wasn’t a bad PPV, but it was also not THE PPV either. I enjoyed myself in attendance, and the results from HIAC had a big impact…

JC’s Weekly Top 20 Power Rankings! (10/26/16)

Another week of wrestling is in the books as we try to get excited for the RAW exclusive pay-per-view, “Hell in a Cell.” The RAW go-home show was weak (as they have been for some time now) while SmackDown continues to be the A-show. I dropped some top level talent from the rankings this week to make…
